Adare Manor

Adare Manor occupies a Gothic Revival house and landscaped estate beside the River Maigue in County Limerick. Towers, stone detailing and formal gardens give the arrival a strong architectural character, while the interiors combine restored historic spaces with contemporary hotel comforts. Rooms and suites use period-inspired furnishings and marble bathrooms, with outlooks across the river, gardens, courtyard or golf course. Golf is woven into the estate rather than separated from it. The course was redesigned by Tom Fazio, with the river and mature grounds contributing to its setting. Practice facilities and the Carriage House support the experience before and after play, while the hotel offers arrangements for guests planning a golfing stay. The contrast between broad fairways and the manor's elaborate stonework is particularly distinctive. The Oak Room provides formal dining, with other restaurants and lounges offering a different pace. A spa, relaxation pool and estate activities create alternatives for non-golfers or quieter afternoons. Nearby Adare adds village streets and thatched buildings to the itinerary. The result is a country-house stay where golf, architecture and the surrounding landscape carry comparable weight.
