Amerikalinjen
Norway

Amerikalinjen occupies the former headquarters of the Norwegian America Line on Oslo's Jernbanetorget square. The shipping company's transatlantic history gives this boutique hotel a distinctive identity, while its position beside Oslo Central Station makes arrival and exploration straightforward. The 122 rooms and suites combine classic and contemporary Norwegian design, with historical objects connecting the interiors to the building's earlier life. Depending on the room, views take in the city, the Opera House or the sheltered green courtyard known as Haven. Atlas Brasserie and Café provides a social centre for breakfast, brunch and later meals, with seating in the covered garden. Pier 42 carries the maritime theme into its cocktail programme, while Gustav draws on New York's jazz-club tradition for live music in a more intimate setting. The Opera House, Kvadraturen's shops and the waterfront are within easy reach, so a stay can move naturally between architecture, museums and evening entertainment. Amerikalinjen's particular appeal lies in bringing those city experiences together with a building whose own story is worth discovering.
