Annabella's

Annabella's is the main restaurant at Heritage Le Telfair in Bel Ombre, on Mauritius's south coast. Named after Charles Telfair's wife, it takes its cue from the hospitality of a grand estate house, with a brasserie atmosphere that works for both breakfast and dinner. A veranda, rotunda and interior courtyard give the restaurant several distinct spaces, while the open kitchen brings movement and conversation to the meal. Watching the chefs at work is part of its character, making the room feel lively alongside its more traditional architectural details. The cooking combines the familiarity of a brasserie with Mauritian flavours and local ingredients. Changing market menus, buffets and themed evenings give guests staying for several nights variety, while the emphasis remains on a substantial, sociable meal within the resort. Breakfast provides a convenient start before golf, the beach or an excursion around the south. Dinner is a more dressed-up occasion, with an evening dress code that suits the surroundings. Annabella's appeals particularly to guests who enjoy a classic hotel dining room with an open kitchen at its heart.
