Ballybunion's Old Course offers a powerful encounter with the dunes of Ireland's west coast. The strongest part of the experience is the way the routing works through the land, changing direction, elevation and the golfer's view. It is a serious links journey whose character becomes more apparent as the round develops. This selection should be booked as the Old Course. The Cashen is a separate layout with its own merits, and a general Ballybunion package needs to identify the allocation. Wind and ground conditions can change the challenge substantially, making flexibility and suitable tees more useful than chasing a championship-length round. Request the Old Course through the club.
