Bar Maze, now styled MĀZE, pairs food and cocktails as a single creative exercise in Honolulu’s Kaka‘ako district. Co-owners Justin and Tom Park established the restaurant, with chef Ki Chung and bartender Justin Park developing an omakase menu together. Each course and its drink are conceived as connected parts of the meal. The seasonal tasting experience can be taken with cocktails or non-alcoholic pairings, while a separate tasting option leaves room for selected additions. Contemporary Asian influences draw on Chung’s Korean background and wider restaurant experience. Seats at the small bar bring diners closer to the kitchen and drinks preparation.
