Baron is a neighbourhood restaurant in Beirut’s Mar Mikhael district, with Mediterranean influences and a menu shaped by local markets, Tripoli fishing boats and Bekaa Valley produce. Vegetables receive the same attention as seafood and roasted meats: cauliflower comes with shawarma spices and tahini tartare, while eggplant uses tarator and pomegranate. Seafood includes octopus with olive tapenade and sumac, while meat dishes range from short rib buns to beef tartare with baharat and bulgur. A chef’s table beside the open kitchen allows guests to watch the team cook, and a terrace and backyard provide outdoor spaces.
