Baur au Lac occupies its own park beside Lake Zurich, with views towards the Alps and the city's centre close at hand. Founded in 1844, the hotel has remained in the same family's hands for seven generations. Its 119 rooms include 46 suites, with individual interiors, handcrafted furniture and art from a family collection that includes works by Picasso and Louise Bourgeois.
