Bayerischer Hof Munich
Germany

Hotel Bayerischer Hof is a long-established luxury hotel at Promenadeplatz in Munich’s historic centre, operated by the Volkhardt family and presented by the hotel as a 337-room, 74-suite property. Its official materials describe it as a hotel with a personal touch, combining a central city location with a substantial range of guest facilities and public spaces. The position in the Old Town places it within easy reach of the city’s cultural core, while the hotel itself is designed as a destination rather than simply a place to stay. Accommodation is varied, from individually designed guest rooms to junior suites, standard suites and larger presidential and panorama suites. The hotel highlights king- or queen-sized beds in some rooms, desk and seating areas, and marble-finished bathrooms in several suite categories. It also offers recently redesigned Deluxe double rooms in the South and North Wing, created by Axel Vervoordt in restrained natural tones, while the presidential suites are set in the historic Palais Montgelas annex for greater privacy and a more classical setting. Dining is an important part of the experience, with five restaurants and six bars on site. These include Atelier for creative seasonal gourmet cuisine, Garden for brasserie-style dishes with a conservatory and sun terrace, Palais Keller for a more historic atmosphere, and Trader Vic’s for Polynesian cooking. The hotel also lists the Atrium and Galleries, spa-side and rooftop bars, a roof garden terrace, and live-music bars, giving guests a broad choice of settings from formal dining to lighter drinks and snacks. Leisure and business facilities are extensive. The Blue Spa includes a pool, sauna, steam bath, fitness studio, massage and day-spa services, and is open to both residents and external guests. The hotel also provides 40 function rooms for meetings and events, as well as entertainment venues such as a cinema, boulevard theatre and live concerts. Together these features create a self-contained city hotel with hospitality, wellness, dining and event spaces under one roof.
