Blancaneaux Lodge

Blancaneaux Lodge sits within Belize’s Mountain Pine Ridge Reserve, where Privassion Creek, waterfalls and granite swimming holes shape the setting. Francis Ford Coppola bought the abandoned lodge in the early 1980s, used it as a family retreat and opened it to guests in 1993. Its 20 rooms occupy thatched dwellings decorated with Guatemalan textiles and details. The creek powers the lodge’s hydroelectric system and accompanies a freshwater infinity pool and Waterfall Spa. Horses, bicycles and river tubes provide different ways to explore the surroundings. A four-acre organic garden supplies the kitchens. Montagna Ristorante serves Italian food and Coppola family recipes, while Guatemaltecqua explores Guatemalan and Maya cooking and the Garden Spot offers outdoor dinners.
