California Lighthouse

California Lighthouse is one of Aruba’s classic landmarks and one of the easiest scenic rewards on the island. Set near the north-western tip, it looks across coast, scrubland and sea, and it gives first-time visitors a quick grasp of how compact Aruba is. The appeal is straightforward, but that simplicity is part of its strength. This works especially well as part of a northern sightseeing loop, at sunset, or for travellers who want a recognisable Aruba stop without committing to a full-day excursion. The exposed setting gives it a proper edge-of-island feel, and independent guides still treat it as one of the dependable headline sights. It is not the island’s deepest experience, but it remains too emblematic and too useful in real itineraries to rank any lower than the top tier.
