Canaan Valley Resort State Park offers several ways to stay in West Virginia’s mountain landscape, from lodge rooms and suites to cabins, cottages and camping. The cabins range from two to four bedrooms, while four-bedroom cottages sit about half a mile from the main lodge. Pools, a fitness centre and an arcade provide indoor alternatives between outings. Activities change with the seasons. Winter brings skiing, snowboarding, tubing and a covered outdoor ice rink behind the lodge. In warmer months, an eighteen-hole golf course, walking routes and a scenic chairlift open up different perspectives on the valley and Allegheny Mountains. On-site dining is available, and cabin and cottage guests can use the resort’s wider facilities.
