The restaurant at the former Captain Cook Hotel is now part of Christmas Island Hotel, the renovated beachfront property at Maincamp on Kiritimati. Meals and drinks are available within the hotel, giving guests an on-site place to gather between exploring the island and returning to their rooms. A bar accompanies the restaurant, and the property's beach setting keeps the ocean close to the dining experience. The kitchen forms part of a small island hotel whose history extends back to the first accommodation established on Kiritimati. Together, restaurant and bar provide the shared social spaces of the current property.
