Casa Gangotena Restaurant
Ecuador

Casa Gangotena Restaurant explores Ecuadorian food through cocina mestiza, bringing indigenous, Spanish and wider influences together in Quito’s Old Town. Fresh local ingredients and contemporary techniques accompany preparations rooted in the country’s culinary traditions. Meals span breakfast, lunch and dinner, while Café Quiteño gives afternoon tea a local interpretation. The inner courtyard provides a setting for tea, and the former Gangotena family ballroom now serves as a private dining salon. Seasonal celebrations include colada morada, a warm Andean berry drink, with guaguas de pan, sweet breads shaped as infants, during October and November.
