Cedar Pass Lodge

Cedar Pass Lodge provides a rare opportunity to stay inside Badlands National Park. Near the Ben Reifel Visitor Center, its cabins place the park’s scenery close at hand and offer an alternative to camping. The lodge dates to 1926, before the surrounding landscape became a national park. Today the complex includes a restaurant, gift shop and convenience facilities, giving visitors a practical base for exploring the park rather than travelling out for each meal. The restaurant serves sit-down meals as well as snacks. Accommodation and the adjoining campground support different kinds of visits, while the enduring attraction is the location itself. Spending the night here gives the Badlands more time than a brief stop along the park road.
