Chef’s City is Viktor Angelov’s restaurant on Lubata Street in Sofia’s Lozenets district. Its seasonal cooking moves between Bulgarian ingredients and international preparations, with a broad à la carte menu rather than a single fixed tasting format. A Balkan salad combines sheep’s cheese, roasted peppers and aubergine, while Bulgarian tripe soup sits alongside tom yum with prawns and coconut milk. More substantial dishes include paccheri with beef-cheek ragù, slow-cooked pork with polenta and sticky beef with ginger and jasmine rice. Vegan choices include a lentil, mushroom and walnut savoury cake with celeriac purée. A separate wine list accompanies the food, and the restaurant serves lunch and dinner daily.
