Chez Bob, now presented as Bob Fishing Club Bijagos, is on Rubane Island opposite Bubaque in the Bijagós archipelago. The lodge has 17 air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms and terraces facing the sea, together with a beach, bar and restaurant. Sport fishing and ecotourism shape the stay, with boats providing access to the surrounding islands and waters. The waterfront restaurant focuses on fresh fish and local produce. Grilled prawns, braised fish, caldou and trevally carpaccio are among its dishes, bringing the archipelago’s catch into both regional and international cooking. Meals are served throughout the day, and the kitchen can adapt dishes for vegetarian, vegan and other dietary requirements.
