The Church of Our Lady is a landmark on Bruges’ skyline, but its museum rewards a closer visit. Michelangelo’s marble Madonna and Child is the best-known work, alongside the tombs of Mary of Burgundy and Charles the Bold and other important religious art. Take time to notice the architecture around the artworks as well as the individual pieces. Entry to the church and admission to the museum are separate, so choose the appropriate ticket when planning your visit.
