City Tower

The City Tower offers a different perspective from Innsbruck’s mountain viewpoints: roofs, narrow streets and façades sit close beneath the viewing platform. Climb the 133 steps to the 31-metre-high terrace and look towards the Inn, Bergisel and Nordkette. Built beside the old town hall in 1450, the tower once housed guards watching for fire and other dangers. Today, the climb is a compact and rewarding addition to an old-town walk, particularly in clear weather.
