Le Club is the restaurant at Club Santana Beach & Resort on Praia de Messias Alves. Its ingredients connect the kitchen directly with Santana and the surrounding island: fruit and vegetables come from the resort's own land or local markets, and fish is purchased daily from local fishermen. The restaurant is also used for ceremonies and banquets, giving it a place in São Tomé's social life beyond meals for hotel guests. Its setting belongs to a coastal resort of bungalows, tropical vegetation and a private beach, around 15 kilometres from the capital.
