Commander's Palace

Commander’s Palace is a Garden District restaurant in New Orleans, with chef Meg Bickford leading a kitchen focused on Creole and Louisiana cooking. Regional farms and bayou ingredients shape its menus, with a sourcing ambition to bring most ingredients from within 100 miles of the restaurant. Turtle soup finished with sherry and Creole gumbo are longstanding anchors, while prawns with tasso ham and hot-sauce beurre blanc bring another local combination to the table. The Playground tasting menu allows more seasonal exploration, alongside lunch, dinner and jazz brunch. Creole bread-pudding soufflé, finished with warm whiskey cream, provides a distinctive dessert at the end of the meal.
