Conservatorium Hotel

The Conservatorium Hotel became Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium, Amsterdam in January 2026. In the Museum Quarter, its landmark building has served as both a savings bank and a music conservatory, giving the hotel a history visible in its tall, ornate spaces. Piero Lissoni's interiors set contemporary lines against the older architecture. The contrast creates a strong design identity, with generous public areas that make the building itself part of the experience between museum visits. Taiko occupies the former percussion department, linking its name and Japanese-led cuisine to the hotel's musical past. The spa adds an indoor lap pool, gym, treatment rooms and a hammam. This is a particularly useful address for travellers who want art, architecture and design close together. The Museum Quarter location supports full days out, while the hotel's dining and wellness facilities provide reasons to return before the evening is over.
