Crawford and Son is Scott Crawford’s neighbourhood restaurant in Raleigh’s historic Oakwood, on North Person Street. Its seasonal menu gives familiar ingredients a precise contemporary treatment, moving between vegetables, raw dishes, seafood and substantial meat courses. Recent dishes include tuna crudo with Asian pear and yuzu kosho, rice-crusted cod with mussels and green curry, and honey-glazed duck with beetroot and grape reduction. Manchego and herb biscuits provide a simpler counterpoint.
