Cypress trees, sand and the Pacific shoreline give the routing a strong visual identity. The club remains a private destination, so this is an architectural selection with a significant practical access restriction. The attraction is the sequence of the round rather than only its celebrated ocean-side photograph. Its place on the Monterey Peninsula does not make it interchangeable with nearby public resort courses.
