Dahlak Restaurant is the dining space within Dahlak Hotel on Taulud Island in Massawa. A large ground-floor gallery has windows opening towards the sea, making the Red Sea outlook part of the meal. The hotel also has an open-sided coastal bar serving local specialities. The setting reflects the property’s courtyard architecture and the wider Venetian, Turkish and Arabic influences of old Massawa. A cocktail lounge provides another place for drinks within the complex. The restaurant’s distinguishing feature is its waterfront position, with hotel dining housed directly beside the coast.
