Dock's Oyster House
New Jersey

Dock's Oyster House has remained in the Dougherty family since Harry Dougherty opened it in Atlantic City in 1897. Four generations have developed the restaurant, preserving its oyster-bar character while adding a larger bar, piano bar and dining across two floors. The menu centres on fish and shellfish, with a substantial oyster selection and lobster. Longstanding dishes include crab au gratin, seafood fry, pecan-crusted salmon and crispy wasabi tuna. Maritime touches connect the dining room with the food, while a private room on the upper level provides space for a separate gathering.
