El Zaguan

El Zaguán is a Granada restaurant specialising in grilled meat and traditional Nicaraguan cooking. Bernardo Marenco and María Teresa Rose founded it in April 2001, and the kitchen continues to make many of its products by hand. Selected Nicaraguan meat is cut and grilled where diners can see its preparation, with cooking adjusted to their preference. The restaurant's position beside Granada's cathedral places it within the historic centre, connecting a meal with the surrounding colonial streets and principal square.
