Elvie's

Elvie's brings French café traditions and New Orleans cooking into Jackson's historic Belhaven neighbourhood. Founded by Cody McCain and chef Hunter Evans, the restaurant is named after Evans's grandmother, May Elvaretta Good. Breakfast, lunch and dinner follow seasonal ingredients sourced from Southern farmers, Gulf fishermen and oyster harvesters. A French omelette and coffee provide one way to begin the day, while cocktails and evening meals develop the all-day café idea further. The Manship Street setting gives this Mississippi French restaurant a neighbourhood address, with the region's seafood and produce shaping what reaches the table.
