Marbella’s Old Town is a compact maze of whitewashed streets, small shops and flower-filled corners. Begin around Calle Carmen, where the view towards the Church of the Encarnación is especially attractive, then wander towards Plaza de los Naranjos. Look for surviving sections of the medieval walls as you go. The neighbourhood is best explored on foot, with time to pause in a square rather than rushing between landmarks.
