Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva

Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues occupies a neoclassical building beside Lake Geneva that first opened as a hotel in 1834. Its 115 rooms and suites combine Pierre-Yves Rochon's interiors with Louis Philippe-style furnishings and marble bathrooms. Some sixth-floor suites take a different direction, drawing on Swiss chalet design and adding fireplaces. Spa Mont Blanc occupies 2,800 square metres, with a lap pool, vitality pool, Moroccan hammam and marble steam rooms. Its elevated position brings views towards Geneva and the Salève. Dining ranges from northern Italian cooking at Il Lago to Japanese and Nikkei dishes at rooftop Izumi. The historic Salle des Nations adds another layer to the building's story: it hosted the League of Nations' first assembly in 1920.
