Gangtey Lodge
Bhutan

Gangtey Lodge stands above the Phobjikha Valley, looking towards Gangtey Goenpa monastery, traditional farmhouses and blue pine forest. Its farmhouse suites reflect Bhutanese design through warm fabrics and earthy tones. Each has a spacious living area, wood-burning fireplace, underfloor heating and a freestanding bath positioned for valley views. Local artists and masons worked on the main lodge's murals and carvings. Two stone fireplaces anchor the communal lounge and dining area, while a terrace opens onto the landscape. Guests can use mountain bikes or join meditation at the nearby monks' college when available. Dining highlights seasonal Bhutanese ingredients, with private meals also offered in a traditional woodshed.
