Grand Turkmen Hotel is in central Ashgabat, near government buildings, museums, theatres and markets. Originally built as the Sheraton Grand Turkmen in 1995, the six-storey property contains 120 rooms and gained a white-marble finish during a later refurbishment. Recreation facilities include a swimming pool, tennis court and health club. Two restaurants and a bar provide food and drinks within the hotel, with Turkmen, Turkish and European dishes served at the Silk Road restaurant. Conference facilities add spaces for gatherings, while the central location places much of the capital’s administrative and commercial district nearby.
