Gstaad Palace
Switzerland

Gstaad Palace's turrets rise above the village and the Saanenland landscape. Owned by the Scherz family for three generations, the hotel has 90 rooms and suites, with mountain-facing accommodation and larger suites offering separate living areas. Its calendar follows Gstaad's summer and winter seasons. Dining moves between several distinct settings. La Fromagerie occupies a former bunker where a Swiss bank stored gold during the Second World War, serving fondue and raclette; Le Grill centres on an open kitchen, and Gildo's Ristorante brings Italian cooking to the mountains. The 1,800-square-metre Palace Spa includes a hammam, sauna, Jacuzzi and relaxation spaces. After dinner, the GreenGo club provides another long-established part of the hotel's social life.
