Hoku’s former oceanfront dining room at The Kahala Hotel & Resort now houses Alan Wong’s. The restaurant opened in 2026, bringing Wong’s Hawai‘i Regional Cuisine to the resort and combining dishes from his former King Street restaurant with newer creations. Relationships with local farmers, fishermen and ranchers shape the menu. Ginger-crusted onaga with miso-sesame vinaigrette and kalbi-style short ribs with gochujang sauce reflect the many culinary traditions found in Hawai‘i. Whole tomato salad uses li hing mui ume dressing, while the signature Coconut dessert encases haupia sorbet in a chocolate shell. Ocean views remain central to the setting, and the resort’s Sunday brunch continues here.
