Hotel Borg brings Art Deco interiors to central Reykjavík, close to Austurvöllur Square, Parliament House and Tjörnin. Completed in 1930, it originated with wrestler and circus performer Jóhannes Jósefsson, whose travels inspired his ambition to create a grand hotel in Iceland. Its 99 rooms range from singles to a Tower Suite with views over downtown. Wireless speakers and coffee machines sit alongside the period styling. Borg Spa offers massages, facials and body treatments, with hot tubs, steam baths and relaxation areas; a fitness room provides space for exercise.
