Hotel La Compania Casco Antiguo
Panama

Hotel La Compañía brings three periods of Panama's history into one restored property in Casco Antiguo. Its Spanish wing dates from 1688, the French wing from 1739 and the American wing from 1904, with Beaux-Arts rooms adding another architectural language to the hotel. The site was associated with the Jesuits after the destruction of the original Panama City, and its library occupies a building that once housed the country's first university. Contemporary facilities include a swimming pool and a gym with cardio equipment and free weights. The different wings give accommodation a connection to the city's layered past.
