Hôtel Le Priori
Old Port, Lower Town, Canada
Le Priori balances an old stone-and-brick setting with modern room design on rue du Sault-au-Matelot. Fodor's praises its Lower Town position and the character of its larger suites, while the current operator offers a range of room and suite configurations. The appeal is the scale and architectural texture rather than a large resort-style facility list. Choose a suite if space is important, and use the address as a base for unhurried walks between Place Royale, the museum district and the waterfront.
