Hotel Ottilia
Denmark

Hotel Ottilia gives two listed Carlsberg brewery buildings a new role in Copenhagen’s Carlsberg City District. The industrial history remains visible in the architecture, with concrete, arched openings and distinctive round windows shaping different parts of the hotel. Its 155 rooms and suites combine those original features with bespoke pieces and contemporary furniture. Some emphasise the building’s raw materials, while others add herringbone floors and a softer interpretation of the brewery setting. The rooftop is a focal point for breakfast and Italian dining, with broad views over the city. Downstairs, the social spaces offer gin and Danish beer, including an Ottilia lager made with Carlsberg, keeping the hotel connected to the story of its address.
