Hotel Proverbs Taipei

Hotel Proverbs gives Taipei's East District a distinctive black mesh-steel façade designed by Ray Chen. Its guestrooms separate relaxation, work and bathing areas, using copper, black iron, granite and marble to create a layered interior. Copper surfaces are allowed to age naturally, while artwork inspired by a matador's sequins conceals proverbs in some rooms. The three-storey lobby and dining hall introduce iron wall panels and Italian patterned tiles. L'IDIOT GRILL&PASTA features eight Austrian crystal chandeliers, and East End bar continues the darker palette with copper lamps and a wine-display wall. A rooftop pool opens the building to views of Xinyi and Taipei 101. Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT station is nearby.
