Ila Safari Lodge sits on the Kafue River within Kafue National Park. Ten riverside tents look onto the water, with larger family accommodation providing more space. The canvas rooms combine local woods and soft textiles with private outdoor lounge areas. Electric safari vehicles and solar-powered boats are central to the lodge’s approach, allowing wildlife viewing with less engine noise. Guided walks, fishing, river cruises and bush breakfasts add different ways to explore, while an infinity pool overlooks the Kafue. Guests can also learn about the lodge’s solar system, community farm and carnivore conservation work through its local programmes.
