Illa Experience Hotel occupies a seventeenth-century house in Quito’s San Marcos neighbourhood. Accommodation explores different periods of the city’s history through Colonial, Republican and contemporary designs. Selected Panecillo suites look towards the hill and its Virgin statue, while other rooms face Junín street or the hotel’s inner patios. Daily experiences introduce Ecuadorian traditions and the surrounding community, forming a substantial part of the hotel’s approach. Dining is centred on INES, the restaurant developed within Illa’s NESTS culinary project. Afternoon tea and garden dining provide additional formats, extending the house’s spaces beyond the bedrooms.
