Imagination Island offers a small-island stay close to Gizo, with bungalows raised above the shallow reef flats. The one- and two-bedroom accommodation sits on the sheltered southern side, connected by a wooden boardwalk to the arrival jetty and communal building. Rooms use locally made wood, bamboo and cane furniture, with hammocks and private decks inviting time outdoors. Larger bungalows accommodate families, while the over-water arrangement keeps the surrounding lagoon close throughout the stay. A restaurant and bar form the island’s social centre. Reaching Gizo takes around ten minutes by boat, making the resort relatively accessible while preserving the feeling of a separate island base. This is accommodation for travellers who value a close relationship with the water and a modest scale. The boardwalk, private deck and reef outlook do much of the work of setting the pace.
