Izanami is the Japanese izakaya at Ten Thousand Waves outside Santa Fe, serving seasonal small plates designed for sharing. The kitchen uses locally sourced meat and produce, with wagyu making up much of its beef selection. The emphasis is on Japanese-inspired cooking in an informal dining setting. Seating ranges from booths and conventional tables to the sake bar and tatami floor seating. A year-round outdoor pavilion and a deck overlooking the valley add further choices. Drinks include premium Japanese sake, whisky, Japanese craft beer, cocktails and alcohol-free alternatives, alongside green and caffeine-free teas from Shizuoka.
