Jack’s Camp Dining

Dining at Jack's Camp gathers guests around a vintage 36-seat table in the main mess tent. Originally an officer's mess table from the 1820s, it gives meals a strongly communal character, with the opportunity to exchange stories after exploring the Makgadikgadi Pans. Natural-history cabinets and a library surround the dining area. A well-stocked drinks cabinet continues the camp's expedition-era style. Afternoon tea adds sweet treats in the Persian tea setting, creating another shared pause between activities. The character of a meal here comes as much from the historic table and the company around it as from the camp's remote desert surroundings.
