Jicaro Island Lodge
Nicaragua

Jicaro Island Lodge occupies a small island on Lake Nicaragua, a short boat ride from Granada with views towards Mombacho Volcano. Nine private two-storey casitas sit beneath tall trees, each with an upstairs bedroom and a living area opening to a waterfront deck and hammock. Reclaimed timber from trees felled by Hurricane Felix was used in the buildings and furniture. The pool and swim-up bar provide another waterside setting. Guests can use kayaks and paddleboards, join nature-guided excursions or practise yoga on a lake-facing deck. Two treatment rooms offer massage. Three multi-course meals are included daily, with local products shaping the lakeside kitchen's menus.
