Juvet Landscape Hotel
Norway

Juvet Landscape Hotel places small, deliberately restrained buildings among birch trees, mountains and the rushing river at Valldal. The Landscape Rooms use large glazed walls to bring the surroundings into the interior, while two Bird Houses reinterpret traditional timber storehouses on the sloping site. The architecture keeps attention on the terrain and changing light. With ten rooms and space for around 24 guests, the hotel remains small in scale. Its bathhouse adds another close encounter with the landscape through a glass wall, alongside a steam room, wood-fired sauna and hot tub. The different room types offer distinct ways of inhabiting the same forested setting.
