Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge occupies Fox Island in Resurrection Bay, reached by boat from Seward. Private waterfront cabins put the shoreline close at hand, with washrooms, showers and battery-powered lighting. Meals are prepared in the main lodge, and morning coffee or tea is delivered to the cabin door. The stay includes a guided paddle with Sunny Cove Kayaking, with hiking, fishing and a beachfront wood-fired sauna offering further ways to spend time on the island. Departure includes an eight-hour Northwestern Fjord Tour through Kenai Fjords National Park, combining glacier scenery with opportunities to watch marine wildlife.
