Kennicott Glacier Lodge
Alaska

Kennicott Glacier Lodge stands among the remaining structures of the historic Kennicott mining town in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. Designed as a replica of a mining-company building, it uses photographs and artefacts from the copper mine to connect the interiors with the surrounding site. Long front porches provide panoramic mountain views. Accommodation is divided between two buildings. The Main Lodge has 23 rooms with shared bathrooms down the hall, together with the restaurant and common rooms stocked with books and games. The South Wing adds 20 rooms with private bathrooms and showers. Dinner follows a fixed plated menu at a single seating, giving the remote lodge a shared evening rhythm.
