Kibe Mahala

Kibe Mahala overlooks Sarajevo from Vrbanjuša, pairing panoramic city views with Bosnian cooking. Founded in 1988 by the Vreto family, the restaurant is especially associated with spit-roasted lamb and meat sourced from domestic producers. Its different dining areas offer a range of settings within the same hillside property. Two guitarists contribute music to the dining experience, while the wine service uses Riedel glassware. The complex also offers a small collection of individually named rooms, furnished in a style inspired by old Bosnian architecture. The larger Behka and Emina rooms have balconies looking over the city, extending the restaurant’s outlook into an overnight stay.
