Koryo Hotel

Koryo Hotel is a recognisable twin-tower landmark on Changgwang Street in central Pyongyang, near the railway station. Opened in 1985, the red-tiled building contains rooms and suites, with public areas substantially renovated in 2017. Its identity is closely associated with visiting delegations as well as organised tour groups. Restaurants, a tea house, shops and bars occupy the lower levels, with billiards, meeting rooms and karaoke adding to the facilities. A microbrewery in an adjoining building produces lager and dark beer. A revolving restaurant crowns one tower, although views from upper levels have at times been restricted by obscured windows.
