Krishnarpan
Nepal

Krishnarpan treats Nepali cuisine as a journey through the country's regions. Within The Dwarika's in Kathmandu, the restaurant serves a procession of small courses that connects the meal with different landscapes, ingredients and household traditions. Menus can run to six, twelve or twenty-two courses. The sequence may move between lentils, seasonal greens, mountain cheeses and other regional preparations, giving diners a wider view of Nepal's cooking than a single main course could provide. Ingredients come in part from the property's own farms, while the recipes draw on techniques and dishes passed between generations. The result is an experience in which the order and range of the food matter as much as any individual plate. Krishnarpan is especially suited to visitors who want dinner to deepen their understanding of Nepal. Reservations are required, and the longer menus deserve an evening of their own, allowing time to follow the progression without rushing towards another plan.
